SCS Sketch Card....

Good Friday Morning Everyone!
I have a question for you all.....do you think that the weather effects how you make your cards? I mean it's been unseasonably cool & rainy here in Bourbonnais, IL. I'm starting to feel like we skipped summer & went straight to fall LOL!!

I made this card for the sketch challenge over on SCS & when I first saw it; I was completely stumped! Then after taking a break, I was finally able to put this together using scraps from my *mighty* stash!! I think that's the one thing that really appealed to me about this sketch.....once I could concentrate......it lends itself for the use of scraps & I'm sure we could all benefit from getting rid of some of our scrap stash!!!

I'll leave with saying that the new catalog is AMAZING & I can't wait to get my hands on some more Big Shot Dies!!! I may not be able to show you any parts of the catty but I can show you some sneak peek stuff.....give me a minute to unglue myself and I'll share something with you!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!
TTFN,
Hugs,

  1. Jackie, I am SOOOOO jealous that you've seen the new catalog! Can't wait for some sneak peaks! :)

I thought SCS's sketch for this week was really a good one too! It's terrific to use up scraps and Lord knows, I have a bunch of them! I love your take on the challenge. Love how your brads overlapped the panels! Nice touch!

I think the weather probably does affect my cards although not consciously. Especially with regard to color. Even with clothes...my mood decides the colors.

  4. Definitely weather affects how I make cards. When it's cold and gloomy out, I want to make something warm, bright, and sunny. :)

  7. I love your take on the sketch Jackie. The corduroy buttons really add the finishing touch!
I love paneled cards for the very same reason...the chance to use up some of the scraps that are overtaking my stamp room.
Hard to say if the weather effects my paper choices as it is sunny here 95% of the time. I do miss the New England season changes though and when I am feeling homesick my mood definitely sets the pace for my creativity!
So jealous of the new catty too. My order has not even shipped yet! :(
