Etsy Inspiration #137--Imagine Studio

Good Morning Friends!
Welcome to another Etsy Saturday!!  Our featured store is called Imagine Studio & it showcases fine art prints of photomontage, digital collages and painted photographs.  There are some truly beautiful works of art being shown so I'm sure you won't have a problem finding your perfect piece of inspiration!!  If you need a bit more of a push to join us; 2 prizes are up for grabs again:  one of you will win a 5 x 7 print of your choice & our sponsor EAD Designs is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to their store!!  In order to win of these awesome prizes; all you have to do is visit the featured store, pick your inspiration, make whatever your heart desires & link it to the EtsyInspired Challenge Blog by Friday, May 6, 2011 @ Noon Pacific Time.

I used the colors from the photograph you see pictured above to make my creation for today along with an old Mojo sketch to help pull it all together.    I'm lovin' the shimmer paint so I used it to distress the texture, butterfly & main image on this lil' beauty.....what's a card without a bit of bling right?!!  I hope you enjoy it & that it helps to inspire you to play along with us!  For even more eye candy; check out the rest of the Design Team & leave them some love:

Graduation Dilemma

Good Morning & Happy Hump Day Everyone!
First, I'd like to thank you all for your well wishes!  It truly made me feel much better reading your comments!!!!  You guys are great & I truly appreciate you very much!!

Now, onto my post:  I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend.  Mine was actually quite nice since I'm finally out of pain even if I'm not eating *real* food yet.  My family enjoyed the meal I cooked & the kiddos LOVED the treats I made for them as well as their cards.  I'm just elated that I felt good enough to make the things that I wanted & to see how much they appreciated everything they received!!

My creation for today is just what the title of my post says.....graduation dilemma!  My oldest son will be graduating on May 20th & I need to narrow down what card I'm going to give him.  His favorite color is blue so that's the colors I went with today.  I used that supah fun Take A Spin set to make this cutie but I must realize that he's 17 1/2 years old & and a male so no bling or anything can go on his card.....I'm going to be making a few more to narrow down my choices & that means that he'll just receive several cards from me!!  I'll have to seriously put my thinking cap on to get the right idea on paper....maybe I'll go with a silhouette theme next time.  We'll see!!

I'll be back on Saturday with my Etsy post.  I've missed playing with my team & can't wait to get back in!!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!!!
Until Next Time,

Recovering......

Good Morning!
I am taking a moment to let you all know that the surgery went well but recovery is taking it's time.  The Dr. has me on pretty strong pills both antibiotic & pain meds so for the most part; I'm out of it!!    I had to go see him first thing this morning & I'll be doing that just about everyday this week so he can put medicated packs in my mouth.  Sometimes even after you follow all instructions; you still end up in pain but at least he's close by to numb me up & I truly appreciate that!!!

I'm not sure what I was doing wrong but my pre-posts didn't go live last week!  I don't know where they went but they're not on my blog.....I know I was distracted but I've never made a mistake like this before.  I do apologize & as soon as I'm feeling up to it I will post one of the projects that I did before my surgery.  Thanks for hanging in here with me!!!
Until Next Time,
Hugs & Love,

Good Morning Everyone!

My card is doing double duty again this week!  My neighbor commissioned me to make a few cards for her & one is the baby card I made for today.  She requested a neutral palette so when I saw that purse; I knew exactly which colors I was going to play with!!!  I received the Button Button stampset free from SU! but couldn't think of anything creative to make with it.....until I was thinking about this card!  It may be hard to believe but I've gone almost an entire SU! year without Designer Series Paper from the big book!!!!  I know, I must be senseless but I did enjoy making my own paper with that button stamp!  Sometimes you have to go back to your *roots* to truly appreciate the finer things in life LOL!!!  I hope Adriana likes this lil' beauty  & the recipient even more!!!  For more inspiration; please check out the rest of the Design Team's work along with our special guest designer Kim Kesti--owner of this week's featured store:

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Card

Good Morning & Happy Hump Day Everyone!

I had a very nice weekend at the SU! event & rest assured I'll be sharing with you next week.  Why next week you ask?  I'll be having oral surgery on Monday so that's the perfect time for me to pretype some posts & share some things I learned/received from last weekend.  I already have my prescriptions filled and I'm gearing myself up for the IV I'm getting.....if you haven't figured it out by now; I'm 100% pure chicken when it comes to pain & needles so I'm opting to be completely knocked out for this surgery......

Anywhoooo....onto my post for today!  I'm having a lot of fun playing along with The Paper Players and when I saw the recycling challenge; it got me to thinking....what could I possibly use since we don't drink pop?!!  Clothing/fabric popped in my mind!  I have a bag of clothes that was intended for the Salvation Army but I think I'll *steal* a few pieces for my Big Shot first LOL!!  I took one of my daughter's shirts and cut flowers from it to qualify this card for the reycycling part!  My creation is also using shades of pink which is the challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments & I LOVE the Mojo Sketch this week so I had to incorporate that as well!  Thanks ladies for all the wonderful challenges & the opportunity to show off my work!!!

I'll be back on Saturday with my Etsy post so be sure to come back & visit me again!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!

Etsy Inspiration #133 XS Baggage & Co.

Good Morning & Happy Saturday Friends!

It's time for another Etsy Inspiration challenge & this week's shop is called Baggage & Co.  The store features custom made fabric handbags, gadget sleeves & key fobs among other awesome goodies so be sure to check out her entire inventory for your perfect inspiration piece!!

You know the cool thing about our challenge is the prizes right?!!  There's always the coolest prizes to win when you play along with us!!!!  1 lucky player has the opportuntiy to get a Gadget Keeper of your choice from the featured store & another lucky player is being offered a $20 Gift Certificate from our sponsor Wax Fruit Company!!!!!!  In order to win one of these awesome prizes, just visit the shop, pick your inspiration, make whatever your heart desires & link it to the EtsyInspired Challenge Blog by Friday, April 8, 2011 @ noon Pacific Time.

When I saw the polka dot purse, I knew that I would be using those colors to make my card!  I just love the color combo of black, pink & white with a dash of gray.....so classic & pretty together!!  I went with a more simple design because I wanted the stamp that I used to stand out more than anything else but I couldn't resist adding a bit of bling to my background as well....I'm not even sure if you can see it!!!  I also added some texture to go along with the *polka dots* theme.....the inside of my card is decorated but I NEVER take pictures of that!  One day I'll be brave enough to do that but for now.....it'll be a surprise for the recipient of this lil' creation of mine!!!!!  I do hope you've enjoyed my card & for even more inspiration; please check out the rest of the Design Team:
