I'm still working away on my convention things & today's post is for a WOW swap.  Our hostess Joan is requiring us to make something with either a fancy fold or technique with layers & embellishments.  I went with a fancy fold called an upright Z fold, distressed my edges, added layers, several different embellishments & finally shimmer.  I'm supposed to make 75 cards for this swap but I think I'd go batty doing that many of 1 type so I'm only making 20 of these & then I'll do something else....I've done this every year for the last 6 years & never received a complaint so I'm off to cut 40 flowers!!!

Funky Fold Swap Card

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!!!

I have a quick post for you today.  My card is featuring something of a faux buckle fold.  I made a card very similiar to this at my 3rd level upline's home for Diva Night.  I just changed the colors around to fit my needs.  I do love different folds & with this one; the glitzed flower is actually holding the flap down & it opens to a decorated inside with a sentiment.  This new DSP from SU! called Paisley Petals is really growing on me & I think it looks fab cut into smaller pieces!  I hope the ladies receiving this enjoys it & I hope you do as well!!

Funky Fold Challenge Card

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday Everyone! 

I have a fun & quick post for you today!  I do hope you enjoy it!!!!!

I'm part of a monthly swap group & one of the cards I received this month utilized that fantastic *funky fold* you see!! As I was studying it, I knew that I wanted to try & recreate it but I wasn't sure which colors I was going to use......well, that was all laid to rest when I stopped by my friend Anne Marie's blog & I saw her post about The Paper Players color challenge to use Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Blushing Bride & Very Vanilla.  These colors are beautiful together & I truly enjoyed adding shimmer mist, pearls & texture to my creation---I'm so addicted to texture....I think I add it to just about everything!!!  I just LOVE it when all the elements I'm working with come together nicely because it makes creating sooooo much easier LOL!!!!

My post for today is one of the cards I made with my girlfriend Krista. I've never done Iris folding before so I was completely intimidated LOL! Once I got going, I relaxed a bit and realized it wasn't that hard! I totally love the shimmery white & turquoise paper we used for the base and the pretty dp is fab too. Purse Scrapbook

Good Morning & TGIF!!!!!!
I had a very busy week and I'm looking forward to a not so busy weekend. The only thing I know for sure that I have to do is take my younger 2 for pictures tomorrow. I'll spend the rest of my time getting my papers together for our Accountant and prepping for next week's class....maybe I will be busy LOL!!

Anywhoo, this is the project that we're doing today as part of my Fun/Funky Folds series of classes. Isn't this the cutest thing?!! I got the idea from my gf Mary--thanks Hun!!! Make sure you stop by and say HI to her! I had so much fun putting this together but now that I'm done with it, when I re-make this; I'll be sure and use our new heavy weight DSP....I'm thinking Parisian Breeze! Don't get me wrong; I LOVE this new Rockabilly paper---the colors and glossy accents are AWESOME--- but I have a heavy hand when it comes to scoring so I split my paper a couple of times LOL! I have some small pics of my kiddos that I can add to this before I send it off to my Aunt...I'm sure she'll love it and overlook my mistakes!!
