I'm back.....sort of!

Good Sunday Evening Everyone!
I have a new pc, it's up & running but now I'm in the process of finding all my *old* software like my camera stuff so I can use it. I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you all *sticking* with me through this mess and hope you can hold on just a bit longer while I upload software as I find it. I also have to remember all my fave blogs that I check everyday and put them back in my faves! What a feat that is proving to be LOL!! My brain is just about fried from all this new stuff.......however; I do LOVE my new PC!!!!!

Torn Halloween & exciting news.....

Happy Friday Everyone!
I've had such a busy week but I have some exciting news.....I am now officially back into the workforce as of yesterday!!!!! I wasn't actually looking for a job but I was perusing the net for work stuff for my husband and decided that I would just *check* and see what types of jobs were open around here. Riverside Medical Center popped up so I clicked on their link & saw a Secretarial position open. I applied for it thinking I would get looked over because I haven't been in an office environment since January of 1998. To my surprise, I received a phone call asking me to come in for an interview which turned out to be 2 interviews that day & came home with a *packet*. I guess I've really been out of the loop for a while because when Sue called me yesterday to offer me the position, that's when I found out that her mind had been made up when she first laid eyes on me. The department I'll be working in is called Butterfield Ct. & it's really beautiful, peaceful & serene. Not what you think of when you say "I work at a hospital" but this part of the *complex* is like an oasis! I'm a bit nervous especially because I'm getting all types of bloodwork done today and then my orientation is Monday & Tuesday so my stomach is in knots right now LOL! I'm still going to be a SU! Demo & hold my classes & workshops. This is where my HEART is and I'm not letting it go.

Now that I've babbled on about my new job.......onto my post!!! I decided to play in the Color Throwdown this week and make another Halloween card with these *kooky* colors! Best Fiends is one of my favorite Halloween sets so I couldn't wait to use it!!! I threw in a bit of black to calm down the Bermuda Bay, Green Galore & Barely Banana.....I honestly think that was a wise choice LOL!

I know it's a bit late but I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was pretty busy with my workshop & a full day of recovery LOL but it was a LOT of fun getting together!!!

My post for today is a *just for fun* card....don't you just LOVE those?!! I was going through my stash of DSP scraps and came across the pieces you see on my card. I thought they would coordinate nicely with the Sweet Centers ss and I was right! I'm looking forward to getting the new DSP from the catty & making my samples for my upcoming Halloween Extravaganza. I'm sure everyone will be thrilled with their projects!!!

Etsy Birthday Bash!!!

Sorry about my absence these last few days but I needed to take some time to myself. Hopefully most of you understand about online friendships & when you lose someone so suddenly & tragically; it takes a toll.

In Memory of Michelle Hale

Happy Hump Day Everyone!
It's with a heavy heart that I dedicate my post for today to my stamping friend Michelle Hale. I found out yesterday that she was killed when a car hit her while she was jogging. I met Michelle through our mutual love of stamping & we frequented each other's blogs leaving comments back & forth. I enjoyed reading her posts about her family, her love of crafting and her passion about running. Yes, Michelle was a marathon runner! She was 44 when she passed away but didn't look a day over 29 to me!! How tragic to lose someone so fast like this! I can't imagine how her family is dealing with her loss. She had 2 daughters & a grandson.....her youngest was the same age as my son---16. I hope they're finding some solace with their Dad and I just can't express how sad I am for them all! Please keep this entire family in your thoughts and prayers & be sure to hug the ones you love and tell them so every day if not every minute!!

My card features the cracked glass technique. It's one of the cards we did yesterday in class. I'll share more details about this technique on a later date. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!!

Happy Tuesday All!
I'm here, kicking & screaming LOL! All my kiddos are back in school as of today but my oldest is having serious allergies or something!!! We started noticing he wasn't looking as chipper on Saturday but put it off to allergies, yesterday he was running a slight fever & I don't believe you should have fevers with allergies so we started him on the flu stuff. That seemed to work because he felt much better this morning. Geezy peets!!! School just started and his immune system is at rock bottom???? We'll be *investing* in lots of vitamins, teas and other things to keep him from having another BAD year. He's constantly washing his hands & I've told him to stop touching door knobs on his paper route. Just leave the papers on the front porches from now on!!!!!

Enough of my rant! I have class in a couple of hours but wanted to jump on here and let you all know that I'll be posting something creative tomorrow so stay tuned! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!!!
