Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Card

Good Morning & Happy Hump Day Everyone!

I had a very nice weekend at the SU! event & rest assured I'll be sharing with you next week.  Why next week you ask?  I'll be having oral surgery on Monday so that's the perfect time for me to pretype some posts & share some things I learned/received from last weekend.  I already have my prescriptions filled and I'm gearing myself up for the IV I'm getting.....if you haven't figured it out by now; I'm 100% pure chicken when it comes to pain & needles so I'm opting to be completely knocked out for this surgery......

Anywhoooo....onto my post for today!  I'm having a lot of fun playing along with The Paper Players and when I saw the recycling challenge; it got me to thinking....what could I possibly use since we don't drink pop?!!  Clothing/fabric popped in my mind!  I have a bag of clothes that was intended for the Salvation Army but I think I'll *steal* a few pieces for my Big Shot first LOL!!  I took one of my daughter's shirts and cut flowers from it to qualify this card for the reycycling part!  My creation is also using shades of pink which is the challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments & I LOVE the Mojo Sketch this week so I had to incorporate that as well!  Thanks ladies for all the wonderful challenges & the opportunity to show off my work!!!

I'll be back on Saturday with my Etsy post so be sure to come back & visit me again!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!
Until Next Time,

Paper Players Sketch Creation

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!!

My post for today is featuring the sketch from the Paper Players Challenge.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I would be using it to make a few swap cards to take with me this weekend....thanks for the help ladies!!!

My creation is also featuring some new goodies that will be available in the upcoming SU! catalog in July:  Four Frames stampset & Paisley Petals DSP.  I must say that the Four Frames is quickly becoming a fave because it coordinates with the Designer Label punch....I'll be using it quite a bit!!!!  I tried using a monochromatic theme but ended up adding black to it because I felt it needed an anchor.  I must say that I really like it with the black....it adds that extra oomph that I was looking for!  I hope you enjoy it as well!!!

Well, I need to get started on a different set of swaps so I'm off to work!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!
Until Next Time,

Funky Fold Challenge Card

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I have a fun & quick post for you today!  I do hope you enjoy it!!!!!

I'm part of a monthly swap group & one of the cards I received this month utilized that fantastic *funky fold* you see!! As I was studying it, I knew that I wanted to try & recreate it but I wasn't sure which colors I was going to use......well, that was all laid to rest when I stopped by my friend Anne Marie's blog & I saw her post about The Paper Players color challenge to use Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Blushing Bride & Very Vanilla.  These colors are beautiful together & I truly enjoyed adding shimmer mist, pearls & texture to my creation---I'm so addicted to texture....I think I add it to just about everything!!!  I just LOVE it when all the elements I'm working with come together nicely because it makes creating sooooo much easier LOL!!!!

Well, that's it for today!  I need to get my day started so I'm off!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!
