If my card looks familiar, it's because I cased the layout from this post. I really love that pony card and the layout was great to me so why not case it?!! I took a shade of blue from the above posted pic and pretty much ran with it. My creation isn't exactly like the mosaic you see but IMO that's what inspiration means. I saw night of navy, bordering blue & shimmer white with a hint of gray. I like the final result even though I messed up on my paper piercing & I'm sure that whoever gets this card will not complain---at least that's what I'm hoping LOL!! What a blur of a week! It seems like we just zoomed right through it but I guess with the kiddos back in school, time will go very fast.

Anywhoo, I haven't played the Throwdown for quite some time so I was delighted to see a very easy color combo that I could work with. Sweet Halloween Sketch...

Happy Thursday Everyone!
As the title of my post suggests, my card is featuring a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday & their color challenge to use Real Red, Only Orange, Certainly Celery & Summer Sun. These colors were a bit of a struggle to work with so I threw in a bit of black and Halloween jumped in my mind. It may not be your traditional spooky colors for that holiday but I think it works with the sketch. Thanks for an awesome challenge ladies!! I also used more of my bigger pieces of scraps to make this creation. It's sooo nice sifting through my holder to find the colors I need & actually USE them! If I keep this up, I won't have any scraps left & that would be a REAL TREAT!!!!!

I've gotten a *ton* of laundry done but I'm still not finished yet so I'm going to start another load before taking the kiddos to school. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!!

Mercy's Sketch......

Happy Hump Day Everyone!
My post for today is featuring Mercy's sketch....so glad that she's back with her awesome sketches & the color challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches to use Elegant Eggplant, Kraft & Certainly Celery. How fun to be able to combine different challenges on one card so that you're not totally behind LOL!

I decided to ink up my A Kind Word ss for these challenges. This set has turned out to be one of those that once I got it.....I barely inked it up! So, I've vowed to use it a bit more to justify my purchase!!! I really love the spotlighting technique and I thought these cute girls would be perfect for it---turns out I was right. I love how she's highlighted and I'm just excited that I used an *unloved* set to make something pretty!

I'm off to do more laundry before it piles up again......DH cooked so I'm off the hook for that duty LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!!

I managed to *crank* out another Mojo sketch this morning & what a fab sketch!! I love using my scraps and boy does this baby lend itself to SCRAPS!!! I like my card so much that it will be *one* of my Christmas prototypes for this year. My oldest son has a paper route and I have to be ready with approximately 35 Christmas cards for him.....yes, I'll be busy LOL!!

Whew....what a weekend!!!! Busy, busy and more busy is all I can say besides spending quality time with DH peeps! Don't get me wrong, I really love to spend time with him but it definitely *eats* into my crafting time. He does have a hobby....playing the drums of all things....so when given the choice; I just leave my cardmaking alone so I don't have to listen to his racket LOL!!!

Anywhoo, onto my post for today. This is my card for Debbie's Divas. The requirements were to use anything new so I went with Bermuda Bay cs; Melon Mambo ink; Kind & Caring Thoughts and Hello Again ss & a new Texture Plate. I think that qualifies for the new part and I hope the ladies enjoy my creation.

I used the colors from the above posted photo as my inspiration & the sketch from Shirley's 2 Girls to make my card for today. Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White & a hint of Basic Black is an excellent color choice to me but it looked like it was missing something. I added some ribbon to the red piece after I took the picture and I liked it a lot better! I'm sure you'd love to see more eye candy so be sure to check out the rest of the DT!!

I didn't get a chance to stamp at all yesterday but did receive a nice package in the mail! These are a few of my fave cards from a Demo swap that I was in on SCS. Aren't they beautiful?!! I've swapped with these ladies before so I knew I would be in for a treat & I love getting ideas from other talented peeps!! I hope you enjoy them as well!!!

Now I need to continue with laundry, find something to cook, do some more clothes shopping for the kiddos, get my samples ready for class next Tuesday & work on some ideas for my Workshop on the 12th! Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I had a great time @ our meeting last night and the swaps were awesome....just like I thought they would be!! I am so glad I made some swaps because I would've been upset to miss out on them....I'll share our swaps with you on Sunday so stay tuned!! It's always fun to get together with our group, go over business ideas, share & socialize with each other. The Dauber Divas are always so supportive and our 2 fearless leaders Connie & Tracy are a real blessing to me (as well as inspirational.) I'm honored to be a part of such a fabulous group & wouldn't trade them for anyone else in the world!!!

Now that I've screamed my happiness out for everyone to hear.......onto my post for today LOL!!! I haven't played in Julee's sketches for quite some time & I really miss them----dang Convention swaps LOL!! After my workout this morning, I decided that today would be my day to jump back in and I really like the sketch that Maria provided for us. Yes, I said Maria.....Mojo Monday turned 100 and they're having a celebration. Each member of the DT is providing a sketch for us to use this week.....how fun is that?!! One of my fave things about this particular sketch is the use of scraps. Besides the base of my card, everything else you see is scraps and that's just awesome to be able to use them in such a fab way! My other fave thing is the glittered tree. I got the idea from a card I recevied in Debbie's Divas monthly swap. I was invited to be a part of this swap group & the talent that's oozing from these ladies keeps me on my toes!! I think her glittered tree is a wonderful idea & the bling adds that finishing touch to my card. I hope you enjoy it as well!!!

I hope you're all off to a great week.....so far mine is going well & I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an excellent week all the way through! Why? My younger 2 start school on Thursday & that will be a bit of a transition for all of us. I really love having them @ home with me so it's always bittersweet for me when school starts. I'll be counting down the days for when there's no school for Holidays and finally summer break LOL!

Anywhooo, onto my post for today. We have our downline meeting tonight and we swap cards @ this event.....I totally did NOT feel like making anything since I'm still recouping from all the Convention hoopla & the hundreds of swaps I made BUT my 2nd & 3rd level uplines always have the cutest cards as do my downlines Teresa & LaToya! I had to make a few so I wouldn't feel completely left out ROFLOL!!! I used another one of the stampsets we received @ Convention called Hello Again---I LOVE it---to make my simple swap card. Yes, I said simple but it has texture, a couple of layers & I think it's pretty cute---besides, that's about all they're going to get out of me right now!!!!

I really liked that bright & happy shot of the sun so it was easy to pick that one as my inspiration. I unfortunately didn't see blue.....I saw turquoise & white with a splash of black LOL! I decided to play along with Tuesday Morning Sketches again with one of the stamp sets we received from Convention.....I totally like the way my card came out even though I stamped my sentiment as crooked as crooked can get!!!! Don't you just hate when that happens? You have everything together and then you totally screw up on a main image or something!! Well dagnabbit; I couldn't throw the entire card away so I'll just deal with it!!!

I had soooo much fun @ Convention in Utah and learned many different things that I can't wait to share with you! I met several new friends that I hope to stay in contact with & hopefully see again next year & I always have a fabulous time with my downline Teresa!! We make great traveling buddies.....I'm very blessed to have her in my life!!!

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for putting up with my non-posts this week! I truly appreciate every one of you that take the time to visit & read my blog and I sincerely apologize for not having any posts for you. This has been an insanely crazy week for me since I've gotten home late Sunday.....I've barely caught my breath yet! In between trying to get some rest, school orientations, my class, school shopping & fixing things around the house that went a bit haywire while I was gone-----I have not had a chance to stamp 1 thing! That will change this evening and I'll have a post for you bright & early tomorrow morning!!!

I chose the above picture as my inspiration because Sage Shadow is a color that I rarely use. The white with the sage in between is gorgeous to me & the butterfly is just the perfect finishing touch IMO!!
