Good Morning & Happy Friday Stamping Friends!!!

It's a new challenge @ Simply Create Too & for the next 2 weeks we want to see your Mother's Day/For a Female creations.  The temperature has been so very cold here in IL so I decided to make something to make me feel *warm* & what better way than to look at butterflies and flowers!!!  I also spritzed the entire card with shimmer mist so it's very sparkly IRL...I always have such a hard time capturing it in my photos though!!!  My teammates made some pretty awesome works of art too so please check out our blog & while you're there; read up on our rules so you can play along with us!  You'll have until February 13, 2014 @ Midnight CST to link your work...I can't wait to see what you come up with!!!!  Have fun & happy stamping everyone!!!

Good Morning & Happy Hump Day Stamping Friends!!!!!

I know I haven't posted a midweek card in a LONG time....my creating has been out of sync since one of the teams I design for has been on quite the hiatus!  One might think that would make it easier but it hasn't so I've been working on getting back into my own groove of things & this is a nice start don't ya think?!!!

I made this cutie JUST BECAUSE & I'm still working on my blending/light skills with the copics...I'm reading the copic coloring guides 1-4, practicing & watching videos.  This has been an awesome journey so far & as my girlfriend Athina told me...practice, practice & practice some more so that's what I'll be doing in my spare time!  I tried to keep my design kind of simple but I did embellish it a little...not overly done & since my daughter loved this card so much...she may just get it for Valentine's Day...we'll see!!!!!

Good Morning & Happy Sunday Stamping Friends!!!!

It's our Anything Goes challenge @ 613 Avenue Create & our optional theme for this week is to make a gift set!  I made a Valentine card with a matching tag using Oohoo night image from The Stamping Chef & I made a Birthday card with a coordinating bookmark set using the Birthday image from Flatfriends Boutique.  The Design Team created some very lovely gift sets which I'm sure will get your creative juices flowing so please check out our blog & while you're there; read up on our rules so you can play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create...have fun & happy stamping everyone!!!!

I must admit that it was so much fun making these 2 gift sets!!!  I am just starting to use Copic markers & while I'm a beginner using them; I LOVE how my owl images came out!  I'm having an extremely hard time finding my light but I know with practice; my cards will only get better!!!  For the birthday set; I used my prismacolor pencils with gamsol....for the first time!  I'm not sure why I waited to try this technique but the shading is so much easier to achieve & my coloring is beyond smooth!  I have stepped out of my comfort zone and I am so HAPPY that I did!!!!!
