Funky Fold Swap Card

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!!!

I have a quick post for you today.  My card is featuring something of a faux buckle fold.  I made a card very similiar to this at my 3rd level upline's home for Diva Night.  I just changed the colors around to fit my needs.  I do love different folds & with this one; the glitzed flower is actually holding the flap down & it opens to a decorated inside with a sentiment.  This new DSP from SU! called Paisley Petals is really growing on me & I think it looks fab cut into smaller pieces!  I hope the ladies receiving this enjoys it & I hope you do as well!!

That's it for now!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!
Until Next Time,

Good Morning & Happy Saturday Everyone!
Welcome to another Etsy Challenge!  Our store is called Paula Art & it features mixed media originals for your home or office.  She is offering one of our players this awesome candle holder & our sponsor Shery K Designs is giving away 3 of her best selling packs to another winner!!  In order to win one of these FAB prizes all you need to do is visit our featured store, pick your inspiration, make whatever your heart desires & link it to the EtsyInspiration Blog by Friday, June 3, 2011 @ noon Pacific Time.

My creation for this week was obviously inspired by quite a few things but I used the color of the vase to jumpstart my creativity!  I needed a special graduation card for my son & when my downline Teresa sent me a photo of a graduation hat card made with the Petal Cone die....I just had to duplicate it the best I could!!  I think I did a pretty good job though because as you can see in the photo above, my son LOVES his card.....he thought it was sooo cool!!!  For more inspiration, please check out the rest of the Design Team:

Just Believe Swap Card

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

My post for today is an example of a swap card that I made for Convention in July.  The requirements are to use the Word Play stampset but as you can see on *my* card the sentiment is missing.  On the ones that I'm taking to Utah, the sentiment is punched out with the Decorative Label punch & placed in that white spot on the image panel.  There are only 2 flowers with bling centers on those cards as well.  My card is fully decorated on the inside vs. the others which are only card fronts.  I also used the Faux Mother of Pearl technique to make that bottom panel & I really love how it came out.....hope you do too!!

I have an extremely busy week ahead with my son's graduation on Friday so I better get busy making more things to share!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!
Until Next Time,

Etsy Inspiration #138--Bear Creek Design

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!
It's another Etsy Inspiration Day & our shop this week is called Bear Creek Designs.  Teresa specializes in needle felt art & she also sells kits.  She's offering one of our players a $15 gift certificate to her store & our sponsor Claudia and Company, is giving away 3 digi stamps of the winner's choice.  In order to win one of these fab prizes, all you have to do is visit our featured store, pick your inspiration, make whatever your heart desires & link it to the EtsyInspiration Blog by Friday, May 20, 2011 @ noon Pacific time.  Did you catch that?  Yes, we are moving to bi-weekly changes starting today so now you'll have more time to play with us....cool hugh?!!

That pretty felt flower caught my eye & I based my creation on the colors from it.  I kept my design very simple because I wanted the flower to stand out.  Sometimes simple is better & I'm working on my simplicity because I LOVE to layer LOL!!  For more inspiration, please check out the rest of the Design Team's work & leave them some love including our new Guest Designer Ellie Augustin

A Bit of Sharing.....

Good Thursday Morning!
I've had a super busy week & I'm so happy to have a moment to share my downline swaps with you today.  We focused on the Faux Pearl Technique that was featured in last month's Stampin' Success magazine.  I do LOVE how all of our cards came out so different but eye catching just the same!!!
This is my card

This card was created by Kelly.  I love how she made that dress....it's just awesome!!!

Teresa & I used the same stampset but our cards are totally different!  Isn't hers just gorgeous?!!

LaToya made this beauty!  My neighbor's niece loved it so much that I was commissioned to make 60 of these for her upcoming party!!  Thanks so much for sharing this FAB idea with me LaToya...I really appreciate it!

Well, that's it for me today!  I hope you enjoy looking at our swaps from last weekend....I need to get back to work so I'm off!!  Don't forget to stop back by on Saturday for my Etsy post.  Thanks so much for visiting with me & have a great rest of the day!!
Until Next Time,
Hugs & Love,
