I'm in a good mood despite the fact that Brandon is still home sick with Strep Throat! I hope he's a bit better tomorrow to go to school but I highly doubt it!!

Anywhoo, my post for today is showing you my 3rd card that I'm taking with me this weekend. I must say that I LOVE how this one came out!!! I made a few different ones using this layout but with different DSP & base colors.....didn't want to bog you down with lots of pics so use your imagination a bit. I used a lot of my Raspberry Tart, Rainbow Sherbet & Bella Rose DSP scraps to make these swaps---I'm so proud of myself!!! Actually when I think about it; this is the perfect opportunity to get rid of all my scraps of current DSP before Convention so, I guess I'll be crafting longer than I thought LOL!!

I have class tonight so I need to double check myself to make sure everything's in order......I better get Bianca going first or she'll be late for school! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!!

I hope everyone's having better weather than we are.....but on the bright side; yucky weather makes a PERFECT stampin' day!!!

My post for today is showing you one of my swap cards that I'm taking with me to the MN SU! Regional this weekend. I cut everything not knowing what I was going to actually do & after toying with it for a while; this is the end result! I'm making 24 of these and then I'll move on to something else......blame it on short attention span or something but I CANNOT make hundreds of the same thing over & over again!! My max is maybe 30 but in this case, I went with however many strips the DSP would give me....smart move if you ask me LOL!!!

I'm off to finish these up; work on more laundry and *possibly* cook. So many distracting things and too little time left before I leave!! I think I'll put my crock pot to good use this week....that'll free up LOTS of time!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!

My post for today is for the Color Throwdown Challenge to use Kiwi Kiss, Purely Pomegranate & Tangerine Tango. I do love these colors together so thanks ladies for an easy & awesome challenge!! What I don't like about my card....the paper piercing came out crooked dangit! I had to move the template to stretch across the card & I developed a dip.....next time I try to do a straight line; I'll make sure I use a ruler too!

My post for today is a card I've been tinkering with for the monthly swap I'm in with a fabulous group of fellow demos. The requirement for March was to use both sides of your designer paper...I thought it would be easy 'til I got started! I used the Mojo Sketch for my layout but I'm not really *feeling* both sides of the dp----maybe it'll grow on me......I hate being my own critic!!!

I need to get started on my swaps for the Minnesota Regional next week....I know; last minute!! I just won't take that many....after all; how many could I possibly need?!! Watch when I get there; there'll be soooo many that I want LOL!!

I'm excited about this being the middle of the week even though Bianca is still home with a fever. This virus is tough but hopefully it will leave her system soon!!

The cards I'm showing you today are the ones we did last night for my Monthly Technique Class. This month we finished up the resists---crayon & glossy & we also did the wheels for backgrounds. Next month we'll focus on the brayer...that should be fun!!

Friday Sketchers Card

Happy Tuesday All!
I have to be better about not leaving peeps hanging.....my daughter Bianca missed quite a few days of school last week because her fever wouldn't go away and she stayed home yesterday with one. When I went to wake her up, she was sooo hot!! I wish this stupid virus would just go AWAY!! My oldest DS Reggie Jr. goes back to school on Wednesday. He's eating now and the pain from those wisdom teeth are all gone & he's all caught up with his school work thanks to his awesome tutor!! I apologize for not updating you about them......it just slips my mind and I don't want to bore you with my personal stuff.

On to my post for today: this card is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge and it was admittedly a challenge! When I started, I thought it would be easy but as I got going---I realized it wasn't going to be easy at all. I may have done this to myself though since I wanted to use some kooky colors.....dang brain LOL!! I do like the final result even though I was cursing myself throughout the process----I think I'll work on the Mojo sketch next....it *appears* to be less stressful :-)

Color Throwdown Creation

Happy Monday All!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was quite fun although I was obviously tired because instead of cleaning off my lawn, I laid down and took a nice long nap! It was quite relaxing but the yardwork still needs to get done so I guess I'll be busy throughout this coming week *sigh*

Anywhooo, my post for today represents the Color Throwdown Challenge to use Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy & Blush Blossom. When I looked at these colors together; I instantly knew I would be making a square card so I just started cutting and fiddling around. I want to give you a peek inside my crazy, creative mind as I try to create something....here goes:

I start with a Kiwi Kiss base and layer Not Quite Navy on top. The Rockabilly DSP is gorgeous so it's a no brainer to use it & for a bit of detail; I use the Eyelet Border punch before layering it on top of my NQN cs. There's 4 more layers (I'm a layer freak too) of NQN, Kiwi Kiss, Blush Blossom & Whisper White which I scallop again after stamping my flower from Soft Summer (yes, I got new rubbah on Friday!!!) I use my fave Butterfly die and emboss it with a texture plate--love those things too!! Even after embossing him, he still looks sort of plain so to jazz him up a bit, I gave him a pearl body, tail & head....looks much better now! I stamp my sentiment in NQN, punch it out with my large oval punch & layer it on top of the new scallop oval punch---it's fast becoming my fave too LOL!!! I sit back and look at my card for a bit....needs something I said; I add the Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon---needs just a bit more...there's white space that's freakin' me out so I punch 2 flowers, a circle & add a pearl. Dang...too plain so I give it a few swipes across the NQN & KK ink pads. LOVE IT so I attach it with some dimensionals. Ugh, the bottom corners are plain so I better add some brads....VOILA!! I'm finally happy with it but alas, it's another heavy card!!!

There, so now you know what I go through each & every time I attempt to make a card/project. Hope I didn't scare anyone away....I'm actually pretty normal outside of my creative process LOL!!

This week we were challenged to use Whisper White, Pacific Point, Gray of your choice--I chose Basic Gray & Riding Hood Red from the above Monk & Trane's album cover. Let me be the first to say that this was QUITE the challenge peeps! I was totally stumped on how to work these colors so I just pulled out my fave stampset and wished for the best LOL! I don't think it came out too bad---I look at it as a CAS....Clean and Simple work of art! I like the stamps I used so much I continued to use them with the picture below.......

My next card is for Etsy Inspired and this is the shop we parused this week. I really liked the color combo of this pencil case and then I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash to complete my creation. Want to win one of those cool pouches? I'm so happy to be back and showing you some of the pages of the book we're making @ tomorrow's stamp camp! We'll be using half of the Hoppy Memories Simply Scrappin' Kit to make this cutie which will leave more than enough supplies for some pretty awesome pages or supah cute cards!

I need to get back to prepping for this camp! I was a bit delayed as you all know but I want everything to be cut so there'll be nothing to do but assemble.....I'll visit all my friends first though LOL!

I think I fixed it.....

After hours of blood, sweat & tears I'm finally able to use my *old* pc and it's working pretty well! I always panic people.....the least lil' thing with this pc and my whole world just falls apart!! I truly don't know why I do that, when all I have to really do is THINK!!!!! My brain kicked in after a while and I really cleaned up this thing. No more unused programs, dumped lots of files that I don't even need, cleaned every drive/component on here including something called my startup! I didn't even know that thing existed but boy was it worth the time/trouble cleaning that baby up. I didn't have any viruses or worms---thank goodness and I hope to keep it that way!

Thank you for all your encouraging words! I truly appreciated them. I'll be back @ about 6 this moring with some pics of what we're making for stamp camp tomorrow.

Good Morning!!!!
I'm so happy that it's Saturday and I have nothing on my agenda except for getting my swaps done for Monday!! What a wonderful feeling LOL!!!

Since it's Saturday, you know what time it is right? Geez, you're smart.....yes, it's Etsy Time!!!!! This week we cruised through TR Mack Studio and I settled upon the artwork pictured above. I love the colors in that print and wanted to pull just a few out for my creation. I decided to use Basic Black, Cameo Coral and Tempting Turquoise. I went through some images I received from Wish-RAK on SCS and came upon that cute penquin guy. It's OK that he's cameo coral you know....we're just goin' with the flow LOL!! After I decided on the colors & image; I needed a sketch so I went to Taylor's blog to glimpse @ this weekend's cupcake challenge----perfect!!! I'm very thrilled with the final result although he's obviously NOT a cupcake!!!

S2GSC2 Sketch With a Twist

Good Morning & TGIF!!!

My post for today is a sketch challenge from Shirley's 2 Girls. It's a pretty simple sketch with a twist...add scallops! Not a problem for me since I love my punches & my own personal opinion is my card wouldn't look good without the scalloped edge.....it just adds that little something you're looking for KWIM?!!

I picked my color scheme from my DSP and had to ink up my bugs for this sketch. I haven't used it much since I bought it some time ago but now I'm finding that I have a new love for it! I embossed my main image along with the sentiment, punched them out and I lined my black edge with flowers---it looked a bit lonely LOL!! I also added my fave embellishment--ribbon and triple stacked my lil' ladybug! All done and I'm quite happy with it!!!

I'm on the hunt for another sketch and a challenge.....wish me luck LOL!! On second thought, I better get busy with my younger 2 or they'll be late for school. I'll go *hunting* when I get back before I exercise! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!!

I'm up & a bit refreshed since we don't have to be on the highway this morning but I'm concerned about my DD. She came home yesterday with another fever so she's home again today......I truly wish people would keep their sick kids @ home so their sicknesses won't spread like wildfire!!!!

Anywhoo, my post for today is a double challenge card. I used Jen's Sketch For You To Try along with the Color Throwdown to use Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise & a green of your choice...I chose Certainly Celery. The result.....a clean and crisp card without too many layers but you can see the dimensionals dangit! Oh well, what are you gonna do LOL!!!

I'm off to contemplate my Etsy card for this weekend, tend to my daughter and sort through a bunch of images.....I'm close to 10,000 hits so that means BLOG CANDY peeps!!!! We're midweek and I'm pretty excited about the weekend!! Nothing special going on but I'm hoping to get some rest and stamp a few cards....nothing could be better right?!!

My card for today uses Laura's sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You and the color challenge from SCS to use Basic Black, Rose Red & Always Artichoke. The image you see is from Wish-RAK. I'm not even sure what company makes it but those flowers sure are cute and totally helped pull this card together! I really like how it came out. I didn't do a lot of embellishing or layering but I still love the subtle elegance of it. I do believe however; that clean & simple cards are extremely hard to make without some practice.....this is my 3rd or 4th card like this LOL!!

I'm off to the Oral Surgeon again this morning. He numbed him up pretty good yesterday and was able to *dig* in there and place those medicated gauzes deep in the proper spots. He felt a bit better after that so we'll see how it goes today. As for the surgery, Dr. Schwartz doesn't want to do it immediately since he's unable to heal properly right now......just gives Lil' Reg something to look forward to LOL! Mojo & Color Throwdown Birthday Wishes

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!!!

My post for today is a triple challenge card...yaayy me LOL!! I used Julee's Mojo Sketch, my color scheme came from the Color Throwdown and the image I used fit the category for *spring* in the Cupcake Craft Challenge. Easy peezy!!!

This card is also my backup for Bianca since I still haven't found her card!! I'll give it to her this morning and I'm sure it will cheer her up and make her feel better. She came home with a fever yesterday and slept all day/night......her big bro' Lil' Reg is still @ home too! We found out yesterday that he's going to need another surgery!! His back molars starting *teething* as soon as those wisdoms came out and it's causing him sooooo much pain. They're really embedded and are cutting through the area that's not healed yet! Geez, I don't think my son can handle much more pain. He's been through a LOT this school year already and the news just keeps getting better & better!!!! I have to take him back this morning and watch them put him in even more pain---they're constantly changing his gauzes to try and heal that area. We'll also be discussing surgical options about those teeth so they can expose them & take away his pain....hopefully!

Good Monday Morning Everyone!
Hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was great!! I truly enjoyed spending time with Krista and can't wait 'til we get to hang out again!

My post for today is for Taylor's Cupcake Sketch Challenge and of course it's late LOL! It usually ends on Monday but this one ended yesterday.....I really thought I was ahead of the game!!! Oh well, at least I completed the challenge right?!! I love this sketch and those cute cupcakes.....the colors are yummy too! They're very bright and happy.....I'm happy because this dsp is almost gone!!!!!

I'm going to try and finish another challenge this morning before taking my son back to the Oral Surgeon this afternoon! Hopefully this will be our last trip and he'll be healing up soon!!
