Crafty Gals December Challenge Card....
Good Morning & Happy Monday Everyone!!!!!
I am so very happy to be creating again & actually posting a stamping project for you this morning!!!!! I finally have everything put away in their proper places where I can find them when I need to & that simple fact made working on my card soooo much easier!!!
Speaking of my lil' creation; my project for today is for a blog group that I belong to called the Crafty Gals. Melina is hosting this month & her challenge was for us to make a Holiday/Christmas card with the #3 in mind. Don't worry, if you're confused; I'll explain: make a Holiday card with at least 3 layers not counting the base piece; use 3 images or a stamp with 3 images on it; don't use more than 3 embellishments on your card.....that was extremely hard for me because those corners are screaming for some attention LOL!!! Last but not least; we couldn't put a sentiment on the front....it had to be on the inside.
Now that you understand the rules; let's move on to what I used to make this card: Riding Hood Red, Old Olive & Early Espresso cardstock for my base colors; Letters to Santa DSP & coordinating Quick Accents; Merry & Type stampset and SU! Rhinestone jewels. I finished off my creation by rounding 3 of the corners for my main image panel & sponging the edges. I had an afterthought of adding Dazzling Details to my ornaments & it was going great until the ink started running!!!!! Oh well; I hope that whoever receives this card enjoys it anyway as well as all the ladies in our group:
Athina
Melina
Barb
Carolina
RoRo Lee
Tracie
Diane
Patty
Lela
Heather
Please be sure to stop by & leave all the ladies some love & I hope you enjoy our Holiday cards!!!!! Well, I really need to get crackin' on the rest of my Christmas cards so I'm off to work! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

I'm Up & Running!!!!!
Good Morning & Happy Monday Friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday! Ours was lovely & perfect for our very first Holiday in our new home.....we're truly thankful for everything good that's come our way lately & can't stop giving praise to God for blessing us each and every day!!!
I'm now posting from home even though I don't have all my things put away just yet....the Holiday sort of interfered with my *clean-up* work! I have been working diligently getting things just where I want them so I can start creating again & I'm pretty confident that by this weekend....I should have something to show you.
I do appreciate your patience as I get all my stampin' stuff organized & put away....I cannot create if I don't know where things are! My main goal for today is getting the rest of my things in their place so all I have to do is pull out my cardstock & start stamping away!!! I better get to work so I'm signing off for now! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

Checkin' In Part 2.....
Good Morning Friends & Happy Monday!!!!
I'm posting from my local library again this morning but I'm happy to report that I'm not so stressed out anymore! I realized that my expectations were just really too high & there were going to be some bumps along the road whether I liked it or not soooooo now I'm much more at ease & taking one day at a time to get my things all unpacked and in their proper places!!!
We had to disassemble so many pieces of furniture to get everything moved here & needless to say that with my DH being gone....I'm not having much luck finding the screws to put my furniture back together! I'm not upset though---much to my surprise---I'm just moving on with what I can & will get back to those things later. One of my bookcases was pretty damaged during the move so that's severely hindering me from having all my stamp stuff out where I can find everything.....this did make me pretty angry & I'm still not happy about that!!!
Deep breath.....I'm very elated to report that Brandon & Bianca had an awesome first week of school! They both love their new schools & how friendly everyone is here! Bianca was tested before she even started & was immediately bumped up to the advanced/gifted classes & I cannot begin to tell you all how much of a difference that has made!!!! She's happy, excited about going to school & actually looking forward to whatever challenges the teachers put before her! Brandon's counselor wanted to bump him up in classes also but I want to watch him for a while before we decide to really challenge him. He does excellent in all his schoolwork, quizzes & chapter reviews but if you put a test in front of him....he fails big time. With that being said; the teachers are going to monitor him, give him extra reviews & whatever other help he may need to get those test scores up. Their ultimate goal is to have him in advanced classes his 8th grade year & I have no doubt that will happen! I can honestly say that this was the best move we could've made for their education & well being and I only hope that they continue to excel in their classes!!!!
My hour is almost up so I'm going to sign off for now. I will try to be back later this week with another update or better yet from my own computer....we'll see! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!
Until Next Time,
Hugs & Love,
Jackie

Checkin' In.....
Good Morning & Happy Monday Friends!
First off let me say how happy & thankful I am for all your sweet and uplifting comments & emails. Believe me when I tell you that my eyes weren't dry either but now I shed tears of joy instead of pain & frustration!!!!

On a very happy note, I did manage to get the kiddos off to school this morning without a hitch & I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll have a great first day. There's so much that I need to do still & I feel like my head is spinning right now.......visualize me screaming at this point!!!!! I'll post again when I can & thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Time For Change....
Good Evening & Happy Tuesday Friends!
I'm going to take a moment to explain why I haven't been posting as much to my blog:
I lost my baby brother 1 year ago & his death completely devastated me. I didn't think I would ever get to a point in my life where I could smile & actually be happy again without breaking into tears but I'm happy to say that the day has finally come! I will never get over his death & my heart will always ache for him....however; I'm now at peace with everything that occured June of 2010.
My husband & I took the financial brunt of having to deal with my brother's death and I'm here to tell you that it wasn't pretty & it completely wiped us out. It's funny how the insurance company can do whatever they want regardless to what's written in *stone* & people around you turn their backs very quickly when things aren't going as planned......a year ago I was a very depressed, extremely bitter & angry person because of all this crap but today I'm just at ease! I've found my happy place & it's really peaceful and serene....I've surrounded myself with positive, upbeat people and cut ties with those that choose to stir up all kinds of trouble. What a relief that was!!!! It wasn't easy getting to *my* place & I most certainly couldn't be rushed into this.....it takes time to get your head & heart together after all the mess we've had to deal with!
After falling in such a dark hole where we couldn't even see the bottom; I'm elated to say that we're moving this Friday!!! I have just about my whole entire home packed up.....I'm leaving the food for tomorrow but my work here is done! We're loading up the truck on Thursday & we're leaving this town for good very early Friday morning! Maybe I shouldn't say for good since I will have to take a road trip once a quarter to do classes here for my most loyal, faithful & new friends alike!!! Kathy R., Misti & Adriana will be truly missed! These 3 ladies have seen us through our darkest days with hugs, groceries, shoulders to cry on......teaching me how to jump start my car when the battery died! I couldn't ask for better friends & I wish I could pack them up and take them with me! I do believe they know how much they mean to me & just in case they don't; I'll show them just how much I appreciate them with lots of Stampin' Up! gifts when I return LOL!!!! You guys are awesome & I LOVE you very much!!!!!
My children are very excited to start their new schools on Halloween & to get into their new home this weekend! I'm so happy that I've been completely honest with them about everything that's happened to us & I'm ever so grateful for their giving spirit.....my kiddos have been my lil' rocks through this whole process and they've taken good care of their Mama....I am truly BLESSED! We're looking forward & not backward and I see a very bright future ahead for us!
Thank you all for sticking with me through an extremely rough year & the words of encouragement mean so much coming from you all! I lose my internet on Thursday & won't get it back until Saturday so please bear with me while we hit the road and get all set up in our new home. I'm excited to be in a different town & meet new stamping friends.....after a nice long nap of course LOL! I appreciate your visit & I'll be back as quickly as I possibly can!

For Baby Swap Card.....
Good Morning & Happy Thursday Friends!
My post for today is showcasing the card I made for a Demo Swap that I participate in. Our challenge for this month was to make a baby card using DSP. This was quite the challenge for me because I don't have any kind of baby paper....I have some baby stamps but NO paper sooooo; I had to put on my thinking cap!
I decided to use the Just Add Cake DSP because I thought I could make it *look* babyish. It does have some *baby like* colors & patterns & I feel that the ones I chose totally go with the baby theme!! I colored my duck image with markers, added some ribbon & finished it off with some bling. I'm quite happy with the finished result & I hope the ladies in our swap will be pleased too!!
Well, I need to get back to my never ending laundry! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

First, let me say that I am so very sorry for disappearing like I did! My entire family was sick & as usual; I was the last one to catch the ickies. I'm happy to report that we're all back to 100% & feeling great.....for the moment LOL!!
I did manage to get my Diva swap cards made for our monthly meeting as soon as I started to feel a bit better. I was thinking Halloween & pulled out my fave stamp set---House of Haunts & stamped away!! I embossed my image with black embossing powder & sponged to my hearts content....can you tell that I LOVE to sponge! I also decided to dry emboss my black background with the spiderweb embossing folder, add some champagne mist shimmer paint & distress all my edges....I had flakes of paper all over the place LOL but the end result was worth it to me!!!
I do hope you enjoy my post & I really appreciate you all for sticking around!!! I'm off to get my day started so I better get going! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!
Until Next Time,

Fun House of Haunts Creation....
Good Morning & Happy Friday Everyone!!!!
I'm so very excited about the new Holiday Mini that went live yesterday! I do LOVE a lot of the new products that are available to order & even though I didn't get any of the new Halloween stuff; I think my card still SCREAMS Happy Halloween!!!!
I started this off with a pretty basic layout that I cased from one of my swap group friends & proceeded to add my own lil' flair! That spooky image was just dying to be sponged so I went at it & I am VERY happy with how it turned out! I couldn't leave the sentiment stark white so I sponged that baby too LOL!! I added ink to my embossed background, stamped some trees from Spooky Bingo Bits & added my ribbon.....DONE!!!!!
I have a pretty busy day & weekend ahead of me with my Holiday Mini Open House coming up so I need to get back to work! Thanks so much for stopping by & I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend!!!!!

Kelly's Birthday Card...
Good Evening Friends!
I made today's creation for Kelly, one of my downline members who's birthday is on Thursday. This card is on it's way to her as I type this & I do hope she likes it!!! I took a peek at this week's Mojo Sketch & quickly decided that this layout would totally work for me!!! I think it's great for showcasing whatever DSP you're using & in my case; I'm using the new Spice Cake DSP that will be available on Thursday. Honestly, I'm in love with this pack of paper & that's a first for me when it comes to Fall designs LOL! Seriously though; all the patterns & colors are very appealing and tastefully put together so this pack of DSP is definitely a winner for me!!!!
After I had the layout figured out; everything else fell together rather quickly. I used the new Gently Falling stampset along with Happiest Birthday Wishes & I think they *gelled* together quite nicely. I also *distressed* the edges of my DSP to help distinguish the layers a bit--I felt they were running together & since I was mailing it....wanted to keep the card as FLAT as possible! My last minute touches besides decorating the inside were to add the pearls to the corners, medallion & make my leaf sparkle--sorry you can't really see it in the photo!!!
Well, I need to get back to my Open House goodies so I'm off! Thanks so much for stopping by tonight & have a great rest of the evening !!!

For My Friend Cody
Good Morning & Happy Thursday Friends!
My post for today is on a sad note. I've been pondering what *theme* I should use for this month's swap creations & I guess my Guardian Angel was correct telling me to make Sympathy cards because my dear friend Cody just recently lost him mom to cancer. I know there aren't any real words of comfort for this type of situation---I've been through it enough to know---but I also completely understand that knowing people care can REALLY help you through times like this. Cody has been a God send for me & I just want to show him a LOT of love during this difficult time so I would really appreciate it if my blog readers & friends would send a card to brighten his day a bit:
Cody Stocking & Family

Thanks so much for helping me on my lil' mission & I'm sure he'll appreciate it very much! Before I go, I just want to say that my card was made using this week's Mojo sketch. Thank you very much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

The Joys of Motherhood......
Good Late Morning & Happy Friday!
First off, let me say that life has been extremely busy getting my kiddos ready for back to school! I didn't intentionally wait 'til the last minute to get all this stuff done but with money being tight; I had to *stall* until EVERYTHING that was needed was on sale!! I'm actually glad that I did because I was able to save a LOT of money compared to purchases from previous years so I am a happy camper right now!!!!
I also had Kathy's workshop on Wednesday & we had a really good time! She LOVED her gifts that I made her and I know I haven't posted any pics---give me a bit of time to show you what YOU can receive for hosting a Stampin' Up! workshop with me! I also showcased a TON of goodies from the upcoming Holiday Mini at the workshop---everyone LOVED what they saw & we're keeping her party open until the 1st of September so they can all order from that book as well!! If you want to get in on the fun; email your orders to me at happyscrapper2@hotmail.com
Now that you know where I've been----unto my post! My card for today is one of the projects we created @ Diva Night this past Monday evening. I forget what style of card it is but I really like it & will try my hand at making my own version very soon! The stampset we used is called Flower Fest....the really cool thing about this set is every stamp except the leaf coordinates with a punch & that makes for much easier crafting in my book!!
Well, that's it for me! I'm waiting on my neighbor to call me about my dryer, waiting on a friend to show up to help me with a computer program & I have to pay the rest of the monthly bills sooooo I guess I'm done until Monday!!! Thanks so much for stopping by & I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend!!!!!

Mojolicious Sketch Creation.....
Good Morning & Happy Hump Day My Friends!!!!
Today I'm sharing a card I made last night using the Mojo Sketch....I had to wait until this morning to take my pic but that's what happens when you have late night fun!!
Anyway, I'm sure you noticed that I'm still using the Mocha Morning Specialty DSP....well; it's acutally the exact same piece that I started with 2 weeks ago! I'm going to use every last piece of this gorgeous DSP since I had to cut into it & I'm not going to waste 1 part of it LOL!!!! Now that I've gotten that out of the way; I'll tell you a little bit about my creation......the sketch was pretty easy to follow but surprisingly enough, the bow was the hardest part to me! Maybe it was because my kiddos were in the room with me watching Trading Places on the pc & we were laughing through the whole movie but that bow really gave me a hard time so after some thought; I just used my finger and voila---it finally looked pretty good! I adhered it with mini glue dots & scrunched up the ends a little to give it a bit more pizzazz & I really like how it looks on my card! I stamped my butterfly twice cutting one out for more dimension & adhering a pearl in the center--it just looks better with that pearl in the middle....don't you think? I stared at my card for a moment thinking that it still needed something so I tied the hemp twine around my card---squeezing a bit too hard, added the additional pearls, the stamped image on the vanilla panel & last but not least....vanilla smooch spritz. Did I tell you how much I LOVE that stuff?!! I think it makes a perfect finisher to any project you're working on & I must say that it makes the Mocha Morning DSP even more beautiful!!!!!
Well, I'm off to do a bit of blog hopping this morning before my children wake up. I'll be back in a couple of days with something else for you to oogle at....Mr. Brown brought HAPPINESS yesterday so I need to play!!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

Excuse My Absence.....
Good Morning & Happy Tuesday Friends!
My children are my first priority & I could see that we needed to spend some QUALITY time together so I took a bit of time off from EVERYTHING and just relaxed & enjoyed our time together! I do apologize for not posting that I'd be leaving for a while....HOWEVER, this was a last minute decision & their smiles of joy when I didn't rush to the computer made this lil' vacation even more enjoyable & I stood firm to NOT have electronic communication while we were away. I have to admit that it was quite relaxing & we had sooo much fun just enjoying each others' company and now that we're back home & I've shipped my daughter off on a fun road trip with her Dad.....I can now stamp a little! I'm working on a few thing for an upcoming workshop that I'm having & I'm waiting on Mr. Brown to show up with a box full of goodies----OK, so I'm busted! I really came home because I didn't want my new stamps & stuff sitting out in the rain!!!!! But anywhoo, I will share some of my new creations with you starting tomorrow so be sure & stop back by!
Until Next Time,

Good Early Evening Friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was awesome....I LOVE my relaxing days when I don't do anything but enjoy family time!! That's about to end though with school starting soon so these next few weekends will be filled with nothing but FUN things for the kiddos! It's been a LONG time coming & I'm looking forward to just having a ball with them!!!
Anywhooo, my post for today is all about the Mojo with some added bling & if you didn't notice; it's in Spanish. I attended Hispanic night @ Convention & this cute set was given to us so I HAVE to use it LOL!! In english the verse says "One who finds a faithful friend finds a treasure." What an awesome saying & how true it is....I know I've made quite a few faithful & awesome friends thru Stampin' Up! and I do treasure each & every one of you!!!!!
Before I go; I did pick up my new glasses over the weekend & I do kind of like them....I'll have to get my son to take a pic of me.....but it's taking a bit of time to get used to them. Mojo Sketch Meets Mocha Morning DSP
Good Morning & Happy Friday Everyone!
We're starting off with a wet weekend but that's ok....the grass really needed it!!
My post for today is featuring the Mojo sketch using Creative Elements & Mocha Morning Specialty DSP. I stamped the flower several times & cut it out to make it more dimensional. I spritzed my flower with Vanilla Smooch Spritz---LOVE that stuff!---and finished assembling my creation. Once again my oldest son complimented my work---what a Sweetheart! I'm really going to miss him when he leaves!!!
Well, we need to get groceries, pick up my new glasses--if I like them & run a few other errands so I'm signing off for now! Thanks so much for stopping by & I hope you have a wonderful & relaxing weekend!!!!!

Creative Elements Sketch Card
Good Afternoon My Friends!
Sorry about the late post but that's what happens when my DH comes home in the middle of *MY TIME* LOL!!
My project for today is using one of the new stampsets I bought from the new catalog called Creative Elements. I think this set is beautiful & quite elegant as my oldest son pointed out when he looked at my creation....gotta LOVE him for that compliment right?!! I also used Mocha Morning Specialty DSP from the new catty---all I can say is WOW! This DSP is gorgeous in person & the flocking pieces are extra special!!! I mean you do have a few extra flecks on your creation but who cares when the paper is so beautiful & makes your project look totally awesome LOL!!
I needed a bit more inspiration to get me going so after oogling this week's sketch from SCS; I decided to go with it & I can't begin to tell you how easy it was to put this baby together.....it's great for using just a lil' bit of your fave hoard--I mean DSP! Well, I need to get back to my DH before he starts to pout so that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

Vintage Life Moments Creation
Good Monday Morning Friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend....mine was very relaxing & I truly enjoyed my family time!!
Today's card is supposed to have more of a *vintage feel* to it but I'm not completely sure of my vintage style yet. Now don't get me wrong; I do LOVE the final look of my creation & I think I worked with the colors of the DSP I used very well too....I guess I'm just my own worst critic!! My only wish is that you enjoy it!!!
I'm off to do laundry, clean my house & stamp....maybe not entirely in that order but at least it'll all get done LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!

Convention Make & Takes and New Friends....sort of!
Heather, Me & Teresa
The GORGEOUS box we created @ Convention
All of the cards we made & the banner to hang them on
This BEAUTIFUL display totally caught my eye & I had to share!!!
Good Saturday Morning!!!!
I think I'm finally recovering from my trip.....I feel a LOT more rested & I'm caught up on all my normal duties here @ home so I'm looking forward to actually creating something this weekend to share with you next week!!
The pics I'm showing you today are of the Make & Takes we did @ Convention, an awesome display that rocked my world & last but not least; the pic of me meeting Heather Klump in person!!!!! I've known Heather for YEARS but we've never actually met.....she was one of my *pretend friends* as my kiddos put it but not anymore LOL!!! It was so nice talking with her & finding out just how much we have in common like our Military service---we were both stationed @ Fort Jackson, South Carolina at the same time....how COOL is that?!! We were even at the airport together coming home----she's seen a side of me that most of you NEVER will LOL---but the giggles & extreme laughter was soooo much fun & it's a time that I will treasure forever!!!
Well, I'm off to get some groceries, find something to cook & stamp! Thanks so much for stopping by & I'll have another post up on Monday!! Have a great rest of the weekend!!!
Until Next Time,
Hugs & Love,
