Good Thursday Evening Stamping Friends!
We have finally purchased our new home in Plainfield, IL and we're in the process of trying to get everything unpacked and organized. We are thrilled beyond belief to finally be settling in our home...somewhat LOL and getting to know our new area as well as all of our new neighbors. Everyone we've met so far has been quite nice & welcoming. I am knee deep in boxes in my stamp room however I'm slowly but surely getting things out & where they belong. I've already bought & put together 1 wall of bookcases...I am so PROUD of myself...and I hope to finally be able to actually create in there soon.
On a sad note, my computer died during transport so I bought myself a new Surface for the time being while we figure out the desktop. As much as I love my Surface, I still LOVE the good old pc...besides....all my pictures and digital stamps are on there so I'll be glad when I can transfer all my files to our new one. I also need to dig my camera out of whatever box I put it in that's in my closet! I labeled everything else with precision but overlooked my camera, flash drives & back up cds. I'll probably find them when I'm not looking for them LOL!!!
Well, I better get busy. I just wanted to pop in real quick & give an update. As soon as I figure out the whole picture thing, I'll post some pics. Thank you all so much for hanging in there with me while we were bouncing around trying to purchase our home. I really appreciate it & I hope to share something beautiful with you soon!
TTFN!

When Life Throws You A Curveball.....
You catch it & move on.....
Good Early Evening Stamping Friends,
As the title to my post says...we've been thrown a curve ball but we're not letting that stop us! What's the curve ball....we put in an offer on a home, negotiated, got an accepted offer & then we went through the inspection. This home failed inspection & we started over since the owners didn't want to deal with their watery basement. Second home....same process--a problem was found, we negotiated the *fixing* of this issue & we were looking forward to closing and moving in. Well, we did the pre-inspection and everything looked good but we both had a funny feeling because the shower didn't look *new*.....the next day @ closing; we ask for the *proof* that the leak was taken care of as well as the damage to the dining room ceiling.....she couldn't produce ANYTHING!!!!!!!!! The only thing she did was paint the dining room ceiling & put new caulk in the shower. She said it wasn't a big deal & what were we going to do...not move? I couldn't get the words out of my mouth fast enough before my husband said, "NO, we're not buying your home...this closing is off!"
We were in disbelief @ this lady's attitude but the look on her face when we got up to leave....that's all that mattered! We're very upset about the wasted $$ on inspections, appraisals, attorney fees...we did get our earnest $$ back but still the disappointment is REAL!!!!!
Now we're living amongst a sea of boxes & chaos...continuing to look but haven't found the *one* yet & we're going to hope that the third time is a charm! There are a lot more homes coming on the market now so we'll just keep our eyes peeled to the listings & think positive thoughts going forward...
I will be glad with this is all over & we can settle in and act like a normal family again! I never would've thought in a million years that we would have this type of experience but I guess there's all kinds of people out there.
Thank you for hanging in there with me & I will update you as soon as I'm able to again...
Until Next Time,

Packing Up....
Good Afternoon Stamping Friends & Happy Friday!!!!!
I wanted to take a moment & fill you all in on what's happening right now and also take a bit of time to thank you for the comments, emails and messages I received about my Mother In Laws' passing. I appreciate your thoughts & prayers more than you know & truly thank you for sticking with me during this time!!!
As the title of my post suggests; we're packing up our current home because we're in the process of buying our *Forever* home! We've been looking for quite some time & trying to save as much $$ as possible but circumstances beyond our control has forced our hands & so now we're taking the plunge with what we have.
I have been extremely busy packing up my craft things as well as the kitchen....the kitchen was easy compared to my things! I purged 3 years ago when we moved here but I guess/suppose I've bought more than what I thought....that can happen when you stick your goodies in a cabinet or basket where it belongs LOL!!!! I will be very busy packing the rest of the house as soon as I finish with my crafty goodies...I can't tell you how happy I'll be as well!!!!!
I will pop on here as often as I can giving you all updates on our move as well as some pics when I've had the chance to take some. I can't tell you how happy we are to be making this step as it's been a very long 3 years but for the home we're getting....it's been worth it!
Thank you so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!!!
Until Next Time,
