It started with severe allergies so we were giving him Claritin & that was actually working! Then I noticed that he had a cough and it was starting to sound pretty nasty.....he was also having trouble breathing so off to the Dr. he went. Her diagnosis & treatment is he's on antibiotics and he's using this thing that people with asthma use to help with his breathing. She also recommended Mucinex to help break up all that stuff in his chest. Dr. also said he's not contagious but that he has to be out of school for a bit.....regardless to what she says, I always get whatever my children are suffering with since I'm the MOM!!!
I'm popping vitamins, washing my hands and wiping down everything in this house so we'll see! Thanks for all your kind comments for him yesterday. I'm hoping that his breathing will get better and that this school year will be over much sooner than later!!!

AWW! Poor little guy!! My son just got done with that a few weeks ago, but he's much older! Meds and that's about it...so take care of him and yourself dear!! :)

ReplyDeleteOh No! I had a really bad case of bronchitis last year that lasted 3 months. I hope Brandon is better much sooner than that. At least now you know what it is and have medicines that can treat it.

ReplyDeleteHang in there-I know it's rough hearing them cough like that. My son gets reactive bronchitis in the winter- seems like every cold turns into it or when we have wild fires the smoke triggers it.
