Graduation Layout...sort of!

Good Morning & Happy Hump Day!!

Today's post will be short & sweet!  I'm showing you the layout I did for the month of May....I was going for a graduation theme but it came out so much more elegant than I wanted.  It seems more appropriate for a wedding to me.....however; if you use black & white photos, those colors will work with just about anything!  I'm looking forward to swapping with the ladies @ Convention & I hope they enjoy this layout!!!

I'm working on my last double page layout & it's actually a Spring Theme LOL!!!  I can't wait 'til I'm finished.....I'm also working on other creations as well so I better get to it!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

Natalie's Invites

Good Morning Friends!

Today's post is just like the title says....Natalie's Invites!!!  I am so happy to be done with them LOL!  I truly enjoy doing private work but I guess I'm OCD or something because after the 10th one....my eyes start spinning!!!  I literally had to work on these 10 at a time & that actually made time go by a lot faster than I thought....I did squeeze other projects in there as well so I could really feel like I was multitasking!!

Natalie & her mom picked the color scheme, layout & the type of texture they wanted on the front of the invites.  I added a bit of bling to the butterflies (you can't see that in the photo!) along with the pearls.  I think it accents the faux mother of pearl front panel piece perfectly & with this technique; no two are alike so that makes them extra special to me.  The finishing touch was to add ink to the whisper white pieces.....it helps them stand out a bit more than just plain white on white & voila--everyone's happy!!!!

I'm off to continue working on Convention swaps!  I do hope you enjoy the next scrapbook layout I'll be posting next week.  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the weekend!!!

Altered Memo Board

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

I've been having serious problems with Blogger lately which is why I haven't posted any projects these last couple of days....it's been quite frustrating!!!!

Anywhooo, my post for today is showing off the project that we made at my third level upline Connie's home on Monday night.  It's an altered metal sheet board with the details about our monthly meetings on it....I think it turned out really cute ( I added a bit of bling to mine...couldn't resist LOL) & it's always fun to get together and stamp with friends!!!

I've finally finished the invitations that I've been working on & hope to get some good pics today so I can post those here for you all to see.  Right now, I'm going to get back to work on my next 13 double layouts for Convention....they need to be glued down & put into page protectors.  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

Etsy Inspiration #141 Homes & Weddings

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!!!

Well, today is a bit sad for me because this will be our last official Etsy Challenge!  I have truly enjoyed being a part of this awesome team of extremely talented ladies but it was decided that it was time to move on....my Saturdays will NEVER be the same!!!!!

Our last/final featured store is called HomeAndWeddings and they feature stylish wire decor for your special events.  They're giving one of our players that really cool copper wire business card holder you see pictured above & another lucky player will win a grab bag of awesome goodies donated by our past sponsors....how cool is that?!!!!  In order to get in one of these prizes, just visit the store, pick your inspiration, make whatever creation your heart desires & link it to the EtsyInspiration Challenge Blog by Friday, July1, 2011 @ noon Pacific time.

I must say that I found this store to be quite challenging when I first looked at it but after receiving a few new goodies from Stampin' Up! I knew exactly what I wanted to create.  I went with the wine charm colors as the source of my inspiration & once I knew what colors I was using; everything else just came together very nicely--it's always great when that happens!!!!  Hopefully I've inspired you to play along with us for our final challenge & for even more inspiration; please check out the rest of the Design Team's work and leave them some love:

Natalie's RSVP's

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Today I'm sharing pics of Natalie's RSVP's.  They were much easier to put together than the actual invitation....I'm still working on those LOL!  I hope to have pics of them soon but I thought you would enjoy seeing some of the work that I've actually finished.  I must say that I love the clean design they chose & the lil' pop of color on the white is very beautiful in my humble opinion.

Sorry about my totally unmanicured thumb in the photo...I'll have to get that taken care of before July 12th!!!!  Well, that's it for me....I have to get back to work!!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

Let It Snow.....

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  As you can see, mine was full of scrapbooking fun!!!

The layout pictured above is for Convention next month & I made 13 double layouts for my January spot.  My color combo came from the Color Coach & I must say that I really like it.....it's different!  I went with a more simple layout because I want the pictures to be the focal point & it was extremely hard to not add glitter to that snow!  When I stepped back and looked at it though, I felt that it didn't really need it & my children agreed so I'm going with their opinion.....I did add a couple more snowflake punchouts after taking this picture though LOL!!!

Well, I need to get back to work!  The job I'm doing for my neighbor consists of 50 invitations & 50 RSVP's....I'm doing them in between making my Convention stuff so I should have plenty to share if things continue to go smoothly.  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!!

Farewell Animal Stories....

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing a creation I made for a monthly swap that I'm in.  The theme for June is to use one of your fave retiring SU! stampsets & after I checked out the Color Throwdown; I decided to go with Animal Stories....those colors (baja breeze, so saffron & pear pizzazz) just screamed BABY to me so I went with it.  I'm very happy with my final result & I hope the other participants enjoy it as well!!

I'm off to continue working on a card order (100 total)  for my neighbor's niece.  Thanks so much for stopping by & I hope you have a great weekend!!

Vintage Just Because Swap Card

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!!!

My card for today is one of my swaps for Convention next month.  The requirements are fairly simple....make a vintage style creation.  I used my fave embossing folder, Notably Ornate stampset & sponged around my main image to achieve my version of a *vintage* style card.  I also added a bit of shimmer, pearls & a textured butterfly...I have to add those lil' beauties LOL!!!  I think the layout I used came from a sketch the Paper Players used a few weeks back....forgive me if I'm mistaken!!!  I do hope the ladies receiving this card enjoy it as much as I had fun making it!!

Well, I'm off to work on more swaps!  Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!

Etsy Inspiration #140--PeadenScottDesigns

Good Morning & Happy Saturday Everyone!
Welcome to another Etsy Inspiration challenge!!!!  Our featured store this week is called PeadenScottDesigns and it features awesome pop up greeting cards, gift tags & note cards.

There will be 2 prizes offered again this week....PeadenScottDesigns is giving away 2 cards of the winner's choice to one player & our sponsor Through the Craft Room Door is offering a One Year Online Subscription to another lucky player!!!  All you have to do to win is visit our featured shop, pick your inspiration, make whatever your heart desires & link it to the EtsyInspired Challenge Blog by Friday, June 17, 2011 @ noon Pacific Time.

I chose those adorable Easter Boxes pictured above as the source of my inspiration.  I thought  Daffodil Delight & Whisper White with a bit of texture (of course LOL) and a simple layout would make a perfect interpretation of those boxes.  I also added a bit of bling which isn't very visible  in my pic but very sparkly in real life & I must say that I'm quite pleased with the final result and I hope you are too!!  For more inspiration; please check out the rest of the Design Team & leave them some love:
