Kiddos' Valentines

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend....mine was productive to say the least!!

My younger 2 children wanted to make treats for their classmates this year and after discussing our options we settled upon pillow boxes stuffed with Laffy Taffy. I went through my retired designer papers, pulled out the Big Shot, stamps & ink and let them have at it! They had so much fun using the Big Shot & folding the pillow boxes....I didn't help at all either!!! I let them do everything...even the stamping and punching out the tags. I supervised from a distance---they were too busy talking and laughing so I wasn't worried about anything! They have watched me use that baby a few dozen times and have asked more questions than anyone I've ever met in my life LOL!! I'm so happy that they enjoyed making these treats & now it's time to get crackin' on the teacher gifts. Brandon & Bianca will be decorating mailboxes.....can't wait to see how they come out!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!

  5. Hey there! I have this pillow die, but I don't have the Big Shot yet. I found that the creases didn't work that well with the cuttlebug. Did you have any problems using it with the Big Shot? I am just waiting for the finances to get the Big Shot.
By the way, my daughter (6 years old) participates with challenges on a challenge blog for kid's ages 16 and under. You should check it out...

  6. Very cute! I just realized (shocked look on my face) that not only do I have to finish & mail my Valentines for friends & family, but I've got treats to make for the classroom, too! Better get my rear in gear - and thanks to you, maybe I'll just let my daughter have at the Big Shot!

  11. Their classmates will love these. Over in the UK we don't tend to make such a big thing about valentines. I wish we did!! I might have to start it off!

  14. Not only are these great treat boxes, but I love that you let your kids create them all by themselves. That makes them so much more special.

  21. Great Idea so cute. I was going to make up the Sour Cream packets tonight. Do you know what the dimensions of the pillow boxes are if you do not have that die??? I want it but have not gotten it yet.
