There's also some wonderful prizes up for grabs this week! Nanny's Room is giving away a necklace of your choice & our sponsor The Twinery is offering another awesome winner a trio pack of twine---you'll be able to choose which 3 you want! Like I said, some very nice prizes up for grabs to our wonderful players & all you need to do to win is: check out the featured shop, pick your inspiration, make whatever your heart desires & link it to the EtsyInspired Challenge Blog!!!
I chose the colors in the necklace posted above to make my creation for this week. I've been in a scrapbooking mood lately & looking at De's pages inspired me to actually post mine. This has also been one of my goals---to actually POST my scrapbook pages so yay me for accomplishing at least one of them!! I apologize for the picture.....that's one of the reasons I don't post my scrapbook pages--it's really hard for me to get a great pic!!! The pink hues in the necklace sparked my interest & I immediately knew which picture of my daughter I was going to use! I started my layout as a 6x6 page and progressed it into the 12x12 you see. I challenged myself to NOT use DSP & only my stamps, Big Shot and embellishments. I embossed the swirl from the Baroque Motifs ss in various places on my pages (there is a sister page to this) and used my Big Shot to add texture for visual interest. The finishing touch was the addition of the pearls around Bianca's photo--I just LOVE that picture of her when she was 3 months old!!!!! I hope you've enjoyed my creation this week & for even more inspiration; please check out the rest of the Design Team's work:

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous page, Jackie! The pic of your daughter is definitely one to cherish, and I love the scalloped circle with pearls round it; the colour scheme is yummy too. And you have such a great LO I'm glad you didn't use DP but left it for the embossing to make a gentle statement. Brilliant!
