Etsy Designs & Late Jazzy Card.....

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!
It's another Etsy Saturday but before I get to that, I'm showcasing my card for the Jazzy Inspirations Team. We had to use the color combo of Taken with Teal, Whisper White, Green Galore & Basic Black. Not a bad color challenge & I combined it with the CPS Card Sketch to make it even easier. There's still 1 week left to play along so make your creation and link it to the Jazzy Blog. I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

My next card is for this week's Etsy Challenge. The store we focused on is called Bacon Square Farm and their creations are a mix of cute & country......so cute!! I chose the above pic as the source of my inspiration or should I say the colors drew me in LOL! I used the bleaching technique on my main image and I really like the final result!

I'm so far behind in everything & I'll be so happy when this hectic week is over! I did enjoy the field trip yesterday....we had a LOT of fun & I'm sure Brandon will carry these memories with him for the rest of his life!

I have a really quick post for you today. This is a card I made just to see if I could still make one LOL! I didn't use any sketches or challenges; just made a card out of the pieces of paper I had sitting on my table. Not bad I don't think but I'll let you all be the judge!

I'm sharing a couple of my swaps from this month's downline meeting. We had to use our punches in creative ways and I truly think that owl is VERY creative!!! Twisted Thursday Card

Happy Thursday Everyone!
It's Twisted Thursday time and this week's sketch is too cute! What's the twist you ask? Your card size must be 4x4.....it just makes an extremely cute card if you ask me LOL!

I used Cat in the Grass--SG601--for my creation this week and I had soo much fun coloring that image! I used a different sentiment on my card because I'm lazy and wanted to use a punch--ROFLOL--seriously though, that sentiment really fit with my layout and if you want to see the *real* sentiment that goes with this image you have to come back again next Thursday!!!

We'd love for you all to play along with us even if you don't have S2G's images. Just make your creation by Sunday May 24th using this week's sketch and be sure that it's size is 4x4. Color Throwdown Challenge

Happy Wednesday!
Hello to my fellow bloggers and readers!! I'm so happy to be able to post a card after such a long time!!! I'm typing this with crossed toes that my children will stay healthy for the next week & 1 day....yep, June 1st is the last day of freakin' school and I can't tell you how excited I am about that!!! We have had one heck of a year with illnesses in our home....I'm truly not used to this since they were such healthy babies......but we're looking forward to school being out and to them being healthy---at least until school starts again next year!!!!!

Anywhoo, onto my post for today! This card is for the Color Throwdown challenge to use Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant and Lavender Lace. I absolutely love this color combo and very happily combined it with this week's Sketch Challenge from SCS.....who could resist an easy thinker LOL!! I also used an old tried & true background technique for my layered pieces---Glossy Resist. I like how my panels came out---I think it makes my card very elegant! Thanks for the great challenge ladies!

ETA: I made this card and pre-post before Brandon got sick. He's doing a bit better & he's on different meds---actually natural ones to get away from all the drugs. He's responding very well to them!

Bronchitis

Yep, that's what Brandon was diagnosed with! How does this work?

It started with severe allergies so we were giving him Claritin & that was actually working! Then I noticed that he had a cough and it was starting to sound pretty nasty.....he was also having trouble breathing so off to the Dr. he went. Her diagnosis & treatment is he's on antibiotics and he's using this thing that people with asthma use to help with his breathing. She also recommended Mucinex to help break up all that stuff in his chest. Dr. also said he's not contagious but that he has to be out of school for a bit.....regardless to what she says, I always get whatever my children are suffering with since I'm the MOM!!!

I'm popping vitamins, washing my hands and wiping down everything in this house so we'll see! Thanks for all your kind comments for him yesterday. I'm hoping that his breathing will get better and that this school year will be over much sooner than later!!!

No not the new tv show LOL! That's how I feel right about now dealing with my son being out of school sick again!!! He's not contagious....just out of it!!! Please forgive me and allow me just a bit of time to be with Brandon for a bit. I will try to create *something* when I have a chance....HOWEVER; I will give you an update on his status regardless!!!

OCC Mother's Day Card

I was so *into* making sure I didn't forget any info from yesterday's Blog Hop post that I completely FORGOT to say that the baby on my scrapbook page is my son Brandon. He was 3 months old on that picture....soooo fat and cute---I just loved his cheeks!!! Thank you all for your kind comments about him----he still has those cheeks too!!

Today's card is for the Our Creative Corner challenge to make something for the special Moms in our lives. Easy enough for me....even though my Mom passed on years ago so I'll just pass this along to one of my friends! Hope she likes it 'cause I sure do!!!

CAS Color Throwdown

I guess I should just put it out there that Tuesdays are not a *good* day for me to post LOL!! I have class on Tuesdays so my day is pretty busy. That my change for the summer but for now, I will try my BEST to post when I can......we did have a LOT of fun last night making our project and I will be making another one for my secret sister---I'll post that one when I do!!

My card for today is for the Color Throwdown challenge to use Riding Hood Red, Certainly Celery & Baja Breeze. Quite an interesting challenge if you ask me so I decided to practice my hand at making another CAS--Clean And Simple--card too. Not too bad I don't think & you'll see more of these since I joined a swap for Convention to make No Layer Cards....guess I'll have to leave off the punched piece hugh!!!

Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend....mine was full of laundry & I'm still working on the last bit! It's never ending and it seems there's always *something* left in the hamper.....Oh the joy of having a family LOL!!!

My creation for today is for Julee's Mojo Sketch Challenge. I'm so proud of myself for using nothing but scraps to complete this creation! Seriously, I went through my *huge* scrap folder and picked the pieces I needed for my card.....I wasn't surprised at all but more determined to get rid of this stockpile of scraps! I was fairly disappointed that after all my hard work on this baby, I stamped my sentiment slightly crooked!!!! Crap, I'm keeping it and sending it to someone that hopefully won't notice LOL!! This has been a very crazy week for me! I do apologize for not posting daily.....I'll be back to doing that starting tomorrow!!!!

I have some exciting news for you all! I was asked to be a Guest Designer for the month of May for Shirley's 2 Girls!!!! You'll see my first official DT post next Thursday for the Twisted Sketch challenge. Speaking of next Thursday, we'll be doing something a bit different! Instead of a twisted sketch, we'll be doing a blog hop with the entire team!!! You don't want to miss out any of the fun stuff so make sure you *check* in next Thursday!!!!!!

Now, onto my card for today!! My post is for the Twisted Sketch and this week's twist was to add dimension----too easy!!!!! I also used the color challenge from SCS to use Real Red, Basic Black, Old Olive & Whisper White. I added a bit of texture to the old olive with my Big Shot, added dots around my scallops for a bit more interest & tied a bit of striped ribbon onto my white satin piece. I think that finished it!
